Gen-set Fastening and Shock-proof Devices:
In general when manufacturing, a Cushioning Pad has been installed on the rigid base of the generator set, and has proofread the engine and the alternator exactly. So only need to install the genset in a predetermined position, and put in standard level.
If the genset is not installed with shockproof pad, shockproof device will be needed when the genset is placed on the flat-panel; rubber cushion or steel shells can be used to decrease vibration, otherwise the genset will be damaged or have unsuitable shock.
If possible, the concrete foundation should tamp the below raw soil or backfilling concrete in advance, then form a 200mm layer of shock absorption with cement, asphalt, cinder mixed with water. It can prevent the shock of genset and the resonance of some of the plant.
WARNING: The inherent vibration rate should be more than two times of the engine speed. If it close to the engine speed, parts of the plant may have the possibility to make resonance.
The running of the engine and operation of the alternator will spread heat all through the plant room and raise the temperature of the room, so ventilation is essential. It can control the plant room temperature effectively, and supply the generator with cool and fresh air.
Noise level is decided by the size of power room and level of noise pressure.Reduce the noise to the level corresponding to the environmental noise standard. No need to excessive demands, because this will cause unnecessary high cost.
For many installation, use flexible frame to fix genset, plus the normal control of air exhaust, air inlet and radiator fan, which can reduce the noise to an acceptable level.
If the noise remain high after these processing, we can set sound insulation board in the room or around the gensets. Fix sound-absorbing board on the wall of the room or put the genset in a special designed sound insulation container to reduce noise.
